In their shoes

Last Saturday, I was standing opposite a blind man while having my breakfast in the market. He was getting ready to play his guitar, which he does every week. As I stand there looking at him getting ready, I could not help but feeling sad and sorry for him.

How does he able to live on? I don’t think I will be as strong as him if the same thing happened to me.

Through him I feel encouraged. Through him I also see the vulnerability of life.

Humans complain at the slightest inconvenience, dismissive of the fact that there are people who are actually more worse off than us. Seeing people like him made me appreciate life more. I am thankful and blessed that I still have an eye to see and live on this world.

This is how I feel.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
