Apologies for being so quiet these few months. Happy New Year 2012 everyone! Thanks for visiting my blog last year. Hope that I’ll have more interesting recipes this coming year.

I was lucky to get a holiday and I went back home to Indonesia for more than 3 weeks. Apart from trying to recover from the nasty skin conditions, I was enjoying lots of REALLY good food back home. I can still taste it now. So I thought of sharing some of the delicacies back home. These dishes are my favourites among others. How I wish I can eat more of these…
Roti Prata
Fried noodles with Char Kway
Don’t know what is this called in English. It tastes similar to crabs.
No idea the name either in English
Home-made curry by my Mum. So YUMMY! Vegetables is from sago plants.
Mie Sagu. The noodles are made of sago flour. It is only found in my hometown, nowhere else.

Chinese New Year falls on the 23rd January 2012. For those who are celebrating, Happy Chinese New Year! May the year of the Dragon bring health, happiness and prosperity. Gong Xi Fa Cai! Don’t forget to eat more dumplings on that day..haha.
