My second submission for the Monochrome Madness Challenge (MMC)

This will be my second time participating in the Monochrome Madness Challenge (MMC) hosted by Leanne Cole over at her blog, Leanne Cole PHOTOGRAPHY. This will be week #14! WOW! I am so amazed and thankful for Leanne’s great efforts in making this challenge alive weeks after weeks! It is a fun challenge and a great way to explore others’ photography.

Roman Forum (Ancient Rome), Rome, Italy

For this week, I have decided to go with the title, ‘The once powerful Roman Empire.’ I was in Rome, Italy last year. This was taken in Roman Forum (Ancient Rome) while exploring the amazing city of Rome. I was particularly drawn to this ruin and after post-processing it to a monochrome, I loved it even more. It says so much about the once powerful Roman Empire (from the height) but it was just ancient now (from the monochrome). This was taken using Nikon D7000 with a Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 lens and processed using Adobe Lightroom 5 by reducing the vibrance and saturation.

As usual, the weekly MMC will be posted on Wednesday morning (Australian time, GMT +11 hours) in Leanne Cole’s Blog so go over to check out the other entries! They are all very impressive and interesting to look at πŸ™‚

Hope you enjoy this week MMC!
