First time at everything

A short post on my recent and first take at long exposure photography.

There is always a first in anything that we do. First experience is always exciting and precious. I would like to share with you my first experience in long exposure shots.

As you might have read/known, I was in Sydney over the Easter break. I have shared the beautiful moments I had in Port Stephens, NSW, in my previous post (To read more, click here).

I have always loved to take photographs of city-skyline, especially at night. I love the lights illuminating from every buildings, making the dark sky bright and colourful. To capture the lights and colours, one need to do long exposure shot. I did my very first long exposure shots while I was in Sydney!!! I still need more practice but I was very happy and content with the photos I have got. I am excited to learn and take more long exposure shots!!! Thanks to my friend, Ivan, who gave me very good tips that enable me to capture this beauty!

It is very important to have a good and sturdy tripod, unless you can find something solid to lean on, for long exposure. I should have gotten a tripod long ago – have been missing all these goodies shots! It is not easy though to carry it around as it does get quite heavy. But it is certainly worthwhile! 😀

Hope you like the photo as much as I do!
