San Francisco, CA, USA

San Francisco is my third favourite city in the USA, with New York and Seattle being the first and second respectively. I visited San Francisco in February 2017. I was told by the locals that San Francisco is the sister city of Melbourne, Australia due to its climate. It could be but one thing that this city is not is that it is a very hilly city! My knees and legs’ muscles were seriously overworked. Remember to rest occasionally and take care of those legs if you decide to explore this beautiful city by walking. Here are some of my favourite photos taken in San Francisco tourists attractions.

Golden Gate Bridge

It is almost mandatory to take a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge whenever you visit San Francisco. This is one of San Francisco’s must see. It is also a nice area to explore by feet or bike. I actually walked to the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre from the Golden Gate Bridge, passing through Presidio. This blog (Traveling with the Jones) gives really good tips for first-time visitors to San Francisco.

Twin Peaks

My top things to do in San Francisco is the Twin Peaks. The hike up to the Twin Peaks was very enjoyable and I loved how the views of Downtown San Francisco changes along the hike. This is definitely a San Francisco’s must see!

Golden Gate Park

Another favourite spot of mine in San Francisco! Golden Gate Park is a large urban park consisting of 1,017 acres (412 ha) of public grounds. It is similar in shape as the Central Park in New York but 20 percent larger! With 13 million visitors annually, Golden Gate is the fifth most-visited city park in the US after Central Park in New York, Lincoln Park in Chicago and Balboa and Mission Bay Parks in San Diego (Source: Wikipedia).
