As part of the Travel tips – USA and Canada series, this post is on Yosemite National Park. It will be a short post, mainly showing you some photos I took in Yosemite. I visited Yosemite in February 2017 while I was in San Francisco. The weather was quite bad on that day – it was pouring rain when the tour bus arrived. My poor camera was soaking wet from the rain 🙁 I gave some TLC as soon as I got back to the bus :p Thankfully the rain stopped halfway through the trip so I was able to enjoy this magnificent national park more.

Yosemite is so majestic and breathtakingly beautiful. I have visited many national parks across several countries and Yosemite is by far my favourite. The vastness and beauty of the mountains captured my heart. However, I do not think it is fair to make a direct comparison with the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in Australia as both landscape are completely different from one another. Uluru has a special place in my heart too for its uniqueness. You can read more about my adventures in Uluru and Kata Tjuta – links are below:
I went to Yosemite National Park by tour (Extranomical Tours – Total Yosemite Experience) from San Francisco. I would not recommend this tour though. The driver who was also the guide has a very strong accent – I cannot understand half of what he was saying. He was also not very enthusiastic, seemed a little tired (maybe he was). I am not sure about the other tours that the company offer, you would have to check the reviews thoroughly before deciding to book with them. I would recommend hiring a car and go there on your own or with your parties, if you are comfortable driving in the USA. Going by tour does not have a lot of freedom but since I am a solo traveler and not comfortable driving on my own, I have to join a tour. There are many points of interests to explore in Yosemite so it will be more enjoyable to go at your own pace and soak all the greatness in 🙂
